So I'm pretty unhappy with the middle but that is why the beautiful thing called editing exists. Also as I was writing it I didn't know how to avoid that slipping into direct 2nd person. I'm going to go over it and hopefully improve it later.

Re: Whoa I make stuff too.
Drouth asked me to draw Joan and Guilla so I drew Joan and Guilla.
But for some reason I can't picture Guilla as having anything other than impossibly curly hair.

Re: Whoa I make stuff too.
So I've been doing things on and off. Mostly in the past couple weeks when I've not been too out of it to draw, I've done an image or two for Eggshelled.
I also did this thing for Eggshelled with no excuse.
Here are a couple things I've done since that last image:
Related to Eggshelled and poking fun at one of the images I did for it, a caimadonion.
Here's another thing I did for Eggshelled, a while back. A thing for one of the characters based on the description I was given:
And then lately over the past week or two during class I've been practicing a few things with different faces using the Homestuck trolls because of their variety and how I play with things based on characterization.
Since I was really out of practice with front-view faces (was I ever -in- practice?), Equius and Nepeta's look very flat.
I love drawing Nepeta's hair.
In my mind, Tavros has large eyebrows. Just because.
Oops I only just noticed that I forgot Sollux's horns.
I still have no idea how I'd draw Karkat. I can never draw him consistently, which I guess means I need to decide on a mental design forever soon. Otherwise I'll just keep ruining him.
Okay Eridan and Feferi's faces from the front still look pretty asymmetrical in structure to me. Probably because I need to position myself better while drawing so I'm at an angle that's not strange to me.
However, the thing I was going for with the both of them is that they have no nose as such. Just two nostrils and a slight lump in the nose area. Largely for some additional way of making them look alien even to the land-dwelling trolls. I also made sure they had distinct fin types, and made Feferi's look more like external gills. Why? because I can. And because Feferi lives underwater and Eridan doesn't, the difference points to that.
And as I get more and more into explaining this stuff, you may or may not have noticed that all the trolls have a unique ear shape. This is also because I can, but mostly I just wanted to have fun playing around with different ears.
Terezi's ears would have been pointier, but I figured whatever and went for the shape that Andrew Hussie used in his early sketch of Terezi that confirmed that trolls have noses and ears that was done a loooooong time ago.
For Vriska's ears, I was deciding between something more like human ears, or something more like ears you'd put on a graceful little fairy, and then eventually decided on more human-like ears. Because this is Vriska, and her character arc was awesome.
For Eridan and Feferi, I kind of integrated their ears into their fins. It's slightly elaborate headcanon but suffice it to say I just kind of like the idea of the ears being part of their fins.
